The paper investigates how concepts of “sexual perversion”, “sexual abnormality” and “sexual deviation” influenced the way healthy sexuality was perceived in the second half of the 20th century. Since the 1970s a process of far-reaching decriminalisation and destigmatisation of sexual practices, previously regarded as abnormal, is visible. Thus, nosological, existentialist (Daseinsanalyse) as well as anthropological concepts dissolved. The empiric turn in sexology led to changes in the psychological discourse on sexuality. The demoralisation of health influenced both the therapeutic concepts as well as the legal assessment of sexual practices and orientations
